How despicable crime!

Seven men whose Samuel Mullet, the Amish leader, are attacked Amish people. Victims were sexually abused and forced to cut their beards and hair. For an Amish these ones are an important symbol.

Amish arrived in Pennsylvania in the sixteenth century. They're a community sharing common thoughts. They take part from the society without electricity, cars, televisions. They made their clothes themselves and they aren't sophisticated. Most of children are instructed by their parents. Amish are peaceful and peaceful and non-violent.

An attack like this is awful and it's very amazing for it comes from a community teaching peace. This act shows the community power and what can happen when people think they're all the rights.

After your final status update

  1. Adam Ostrow raises in his talk how can you remain with your entourage after your death with technologies.
  2. According to this speaker, technology is taking us to see beyond and after life. We collect many moments of life which become archives.
3. According to me, this “incredibly rich digital archive” will use to create memories, to go on life after death. This can have a bad effect: this can prevent the mourning.

Top tips for freshers

Well, I'll give a few tips for freshers. First, be careful, if you always need somebody to push you, university isn't for you. It isn't like high school, there is a big gap between the both. You work isn't teacher's business. You'll underrate alone the consequences. After be social even if you shy, it's very important. I knew I was a lonely behaviour so immediately I tried to talk with people around me. Also, you can take part to a society, there are a lot on the campus. At last, manage right your time: you must work enough without be exhausted and you can't spend all your time outside. Keep a good balance for a very good year!

8 secrets of success

  1. Passion
  2. work
  3. good
  4. focus
  5. push
  6. serve
  7. ideas
  8. persist

I think my secret to success is push. In my opinion, pushing is the base of the others secrets of succes. How want you have passion without pushing you, at least at the beginning? You can't! For example, when a child learns to read this can be very hard for him but his parents push him to read word after word at his own pace. And only after this effort, passion comes offering to the child the pleasure of the fancy. Alike, to focus I have to push me. At the beginning, certain things are hard to do, I don't feel like. For example, doing a tough homework can be depressing. Even if I enjoy the subject, I can be tired or think of my favourite websites. Nothing comes without anything. In the same way, serving people isn't easy. It depends on our education and social background, for example. Giving money whereas you need it means you must overcome your condition and see the others. If you go a new place and you're shy, you have to push you in a unknown world to create friendship. To success you must push you towards it. Don't wait for it comes in your hands. It will never happen!

Informal letter

Saturday, October 29th
Hello my friends,

For my Thanksgiving holidays I went to Australia with my parents and my sister. Both of us we had always wanted to go in this country because it seems very beautiful and we didn't any hear to the school. After 22 hours of plane we arrived to Sidney. My parents had reserved in a small hotel. I were very exhausted but the next day we began to step out to visit the town. First, I loved the mix between the beaches and the buildings, it was original for me. The beaches were very big, I could tan as I wanted. Then, we visited museums. I loved the Art Gallery of New South Wales because aborigine art was exposed. I was also, fascinated by the flora and fauna: there were many plants that I've never seen of all colors. In a park, not far to Sydney we saw a big zoo with rare and endangered species like the red-tailed black cockatoo whose I joined a picture.

Love
Sheila

A place to visit

As I'm in Grenoble for two months only, I don't know all places but I had spare time in august to visit the town. I visited few museum whose the natural history museum, called in french "Museum de Grenoble" . I'm going to talk about this because it's less well known that the others.
You can see minerals and rare animals like lynx or weasel. They are stuffed behind a display. But, the minerals are what I preferred because they are very beautiful. They're big and shining. They look likes jewels. Also, certain are fluorescent. I know there are other things in the museum but here what I've seen. That's why, I don't know what the visiting hours are but I think it's really depends on you: if you like it are not and if you walk slowly. So, you'll have surprises if you go. To access there, take the tram C and get off to the stop “Grenoble Hôtel de ville”. The museum is under a kind of porch, you'll see an elephant as a welcome.
At last, if the weather is good, you can walk in the park just near.
For paying it's whether the full price: 3 euros whether the reduced price: 2 euros (students up to 25).
